Our first "get
to know each other"
meeting is free.
Because
your wedding day is your special day, a "once only event in your
life", .... and to make it as perfect and as memorable as possible, you
really need the most flexible and professional celebrant
available. Unfortunately we live in a world of instant demand, and
please excuse the expression ..... "You only get what you pay for".
If you want a "cheap" and impersonal service then go to the Registry
Office in the City, find a parking place, and pay the $330 for a weekend
wedding.
For a few dollars more,
I can offer you many variations to a wedding ceremony, from a
small private and personal ceremony held in the beautiful rural gardens
of my home, to beach weddings, public parks and gardens, country / rural
locations, halls, private homes, reception venues, hotels etc..
THERE IS NO STANDARD FEE THAT COVERS ALL, as you can see there are
many variables..... formal and informal.
My fees reflect your expectation of my professionalism, and my ability
to produce the goods.
If your venue is in the central City of Melbourne, then additional costs
may be incurred for long term parking, and in some circumstances Public
Liability Insurance.
I will negotiate a fee with you to fit in with your expectations, and
the overall work required. Please call or email me for a firm and
competitive quote which includes GST *.
My minimum base fee as
noted on the
COSTS page, includes
the preparation of all documentation incl. Notice Of Intended
Marriage
(NOIM), the preparation, signing
and witnessing of Statutory Declarations, the Marriage Certificate
(Govt Forms 14, 15 and 16), officiating at the service and performing all
statutory and legal requirements, AND formal lodgement of the
official documents with the Registrar of Births Deaths and Marriages
(BDM).
It
allows for FULL CUSTOMISATION and PERSONALISATION OF YOUR CEREMONY, additional personal
discussions if necessary, and at your choice, full
rehearsals (usually one but more if required), and unlimited communication by telephone and / or email.
This is YOUR day and
I will work in with you, and assist you
with the overall layout and format of the service you desire.
This can include a semi religious service, with Scripture Readings,
Hymns and Prayers, or a totally Secular (Non Religious) service.
The choice is entirely yours, and I have many resources available to
assist you. After acceptance, I will give you a folder
with ceremony suggestions and resources.
Selected musical items at the start and completion of the ceremony
as per your personal preference.
(Note - Please be careful that you do not infringe copyright
for any musical items played
at the service).
Also available is the supply of a portable PA system with remote wireless
microphones with CD and MP3 Player, Small table and chair for signatures, and (if
required) a Portable Rostrum.
We
normally conduct our interviews and complete the paper work at my home.
All of our discussions are
treated in the strictest of confidence.
Required are, one or two brief
interviews, office work, completion and overseeing of legalities as
mentioned above, lodgement of the statutory forms with the Registrar of
Births Deaths and Marriages (BDM), telephone calls and email
communications.
Special arrangements for interviews may be
made in exceptional circumstances only, such as illness, work
commitments, vehicle breakdown - additional charges may apply depending
on the circumstances.
Location and travel:
The first 100 km (return) to the wedding venue is free and is included
in the base price I will quote you, after that
travel is determined by time involvement and distance. This allows
coverage for the Melbourne Metropolitan area and Mornington Peninsula.
I will be pleased to conduct your service anywhere in Australia, no
matter how remote, and negotiate an overall fee which includes car and /
or air travel, overnight accommodation, vehicle hire if required, and a
daily rate to cover time away from my home..
Remote Locations:
I have fully self-contained camping gear and a vehicle suitable for
conducting services anywhere in the bush and mountains, subject to my availability.
Payment Terms:
Our first "get
to know each other"
meeting is free, and if you then decide to book my services, a non-refundable deposit
of $200 is payable. This enables me to
lock-in your wedding date, allocate the necessary time to commence basic
procedures, prepare the NOIM, and Statutory Declarations, then
arrange for your signatures.
After acceptance, I will give you a folder with ceremony suggestions and
various resources.
Payment in full of the balance of the
fee is payable 21 days prior to the date of your wedding ceremony.
Refund Policy:
In the
unlikely event the service is cancelled, a partial refund is payable
taking into account time spent on documentation and interviews.
However, if the time slot is not able to be re-allocated, then no
refund is payable.
Should I personally suffer an event that prevents me from physically
fulfilling my obligations or completing the service, then a partial
refund will be made to enable you to continue the service with a
substitute Authorised Marriage Celebrant. This partial refund will
be made taking into account the preparatory work and documentation
previously made on your behalf.
* My fees are GST exclusive, as
I am now not required to be registered for GST, I never-the-less have
the ABN for those that require it. As a registered business and "Service
Provider", I claim GST exemption under the section for "Hobby"
activities.
